Grand Opening in El Rio
On Saturday, May 31st, 2008 we will be celebrating the birth of our first two programs in El Rio (Oxnard), Califoria. The Grand Opening will be held at 1076 Stroube St. in Oxnard. See directions below.
In January 2008, in collaboration with Bethany Chapel, we opened the El Rio Food Pantry and the Kid Power Tutoring Center. Both programs have been successful and are continuing to grow. So now we want to celebrate what we have started and thank God for His abundance, love and grace manifested in these efforts.
So now we are inviting those whom we have been serving in El Rio/Nyeland Acres - along with leaders of area churches as well as other non-profits that are operating in El Rio to share in the celebration.
This Saturday will also be a regular food distribution day. So come and see what we're doing. We would love to give you a mini-tour and explain how the Food Pantry and Kid Power Tutoring programs work. We will also have refreshments and a Ribbon Cutting ceremony. Ventura County Supervisor John Flynn will join us and say a few words about El Rio along with some other officials. You will also hear from members of Mercy Minstries International explaining why we are engaged in El Rio and what our vision is for these communities.

101 Fwy to Oxnard and Exit and Rose Ave. Turn North (toward mountains) and get in the left lane. Proceed through Auto Center Drive and take first left onto Stroube St. Proceed West on Stoube for 1 1/2 blocks. Bethany Chapel is on the left at 1076 Stroube St. You can't miss it!
