GET INVOLVED
There are a variety of ways in which you can get involved in these ministries. Here are some of our needs:
El Rio Food Pantry
Volunteer one day each month.
- Help put boxes of food together on Saturday mornings or break down/clean up in the afternoon. Takes no more than 1 hour.
- Help as a translator. We have needs for Spanish and Mixteco translators. Requires 3 hours on any Saturday.
Donate to the Food Pantry. Regularly needed items are:
- Dry goods: Dry beans, rice and pastas.
- Canned goods - vegetables, soups, refried beans, fruit etc.
- Baby items: Diapers, wipes and lotions.
Kid Power Tutoring Center
Volunteer regularly as a tutor. It is important that volunteer tutors be regular in their particpation. Student learning is enhanced when tutors are in regularly present. We prefer individuals that are teachers by vocation or have experience tutoring.
Mercy Center Trasitional Living Home
We are looking for professional contacts who are interested to help launch this important program. We are currently looking for funding and a residence.
Russia
We are seeking funding to open a rescue mission in Moscow and to hire a director for that program.
